Saturday May 13th– If you hadn’t noticed one of our favorite things to do is to get us to run in the mornings on the weekend. We fill you with food, good drinks and tasteful weekend plans but keeping your body moving and healthy is just as important as filling your weekend with Old Port memories.
The Hard Cider Run came to us last year so this is the 2nd Annual Race. A few friends of mine had a blast last year! Run a 5k to be rewarded with an Urban Farm glass of hard cider. Also with your tickets and entry comes your regular race packages, a finisher’s medal, a glass to keep, an “awesome” shirt they say and you get to be a model, pictures will be taken.
Portland is filled with running lovers and that’s great news because if you are ready to go again or missed the Hard Cider run there’s another 5k starting at Baxter Boulevard. The BA5K Glow Run will support Baxter Academy’s wellness and fitness programs along with Girls on the Run of Portland. Tickets are $30 day of, get there early, race starts at 6:30pm!
Dance, dance, dance in the Old Port. Oasis’s outdoor area has opened back up, it’s not supposed to rain and Kilcollins will start playing at 9pm. Just bring you and maybe even the shoes you’ve been running around in all day to have a great time!
Bull Feeney’s has Bill Binford and 13 Scotland Road playing at 10pm. Starting your Mother’s Day off early or bringing your Mom out to listen to them jam will not be a mistake!
Sunday, May 14th ~ Mother’s Day- Portland truly has your Mother’s back this weekend. Whether you have a loving mother with you you’d like to take out today, your bet friend and you are new moms who’d like to celebrate or you are the best sister ever and being a mother is in your ten year plan, like me… there’s much to do today.
