The cambria is an amazing place to stay, would 100% stay again! Location, front desk staff, accommodations, cleanliness, all deserve 5+ stars! The only downside to our stay were the bartenders. We had several interactions with the evening bartenders that were not great, they just acted like they didn’t want to be there or cared to assist us with anything. We would have loved to have stayed in and enjoyed some time at the ALTO bar but unfortunately they made it clear they didn’t want to help guests. Other than that one piece of our experience, the rest of our stay was beyond amazing!

Wonderful hotel. We checked in 2 hours early, and 10 minutes before my wife needed to get on an important conference call. James checked us in, gave us the wifi info, and we were on our way in minutes (wife set up and made the call on time). The room was beautiful and clean. The location is walking distance to all restaurants and shops of the Portland waterfront. Only regret is we didn't stay longer.

I don't normally post any reviews, much less while I'm still staying at a hotel, but I have been so pleasantly surprised by the kindness of all the staff that I've had the pleasure to interact with. The initial valet was super nice, I don't know his name :/ But even before that, I called to request an early check-in (as I have done before with other hotels). I have never had such a kind response as when I spoke with James. He was genuine in saying the room wasn't quite ready, but instead of just asking me to wait, he offered a personal call back when the room was ready. After an exhausting few days in Portland already, it was such a comfort to be treated so kindly. Thank you, to the valet, James, and all the (maybe 2 other staff members I've talked to so far) 😊🌟

There was one long, curly blond hair in my bedding. My hair is short, dark, and straight, so it definitely was not mine. There was some rust around the bathroom shampoo, conditioner, and body wash holder. Everything else was very clean. Some things that felt cheap:The toilet paper - it is typical, rough, cheap hotel toilet paper. The tissues - typical, rough, cheap hotel tissues. The shampoo - Rough and cheap. Stripped my hair dry.The lotion - not very moisturizing.Parking is expensive ($40 a night), but that’s on par with the rest of Portland. There is only valet parking at the hotel. You can hear everything in the next room, but that’s normal in these old buildings. The location is perfect. It’s right where the Old Port starts on the East, so you can start walking west from the hotel and enjoy all the Old Port shops and restaurants. The staff are awesome. Shout out to James who took excellent care of me throughout my stay.

We absolutely loved our stay with Cambria. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Valet was very prompt, restaurant food was excellent, bar served great drinks, beautiful coutyard, etc. The list of positives could go on and on. Great location is a plus. Definitely a place to stay when visiting Portland!
