My boyfriend and I went here today on a whim and we were certainly not disappointed. We both got po boys with fried oysters and shrimp and they were delicious! The service was great, the atmosphere was low key and comfortable and we were definitely satisfied with the service. Excellent spot, I'll definitely come back next time I'm visiting Portland.

Take out order for 4 on our way up to Acadia. Stopped by for an online order. They’re not New Orleans po boys, but they’ll get the job done. Adequate filling to bread ratio. Good crisp on the fried foods. Nicely seasoned. Recommend for a quick lunch option - do order ahead online.

This restaurant serves legitimately the best sandwich in Maine. I went in with my husband's order and talked to the owner while looking at the menu. I didn't know what I wanted. The owner gave me his insight into the 3 options I chose and why each one was good. He was transparent about where the food was sourced from and even reccomended fried pickles, macaroons and several other restaurants to me while I was there. I loved what I ate, the cheeseburger 🍔 po boy and fried pickles. I have yet to try the macaroons. I appreciated his honesty and transparency too. It was an amazing experience after a long day at the Hospital. We need more restaurants like this in Maine!

Was excited to try this. But you know how, as an adult, when there are apples in a bowl and you get excited but then realize they're Red Delicious apples and you say "nevermind"?Kind of like that with the tomato on the sandwich I got. The blackened fish itself was good. Seasoned well, good flavor, moist, flaky. The Cajun coleslaw and red pepper mayo didn't have much flavor though they provided the right texture and creaminess. But the tomato... It was the kind of generic, cold, bland, not-red-enough tomato like you'd get as a wedge on a plate at a Mexican restaurant but not actually eat.It actually made the sandwich disappointing as a whole. Kind of weird to write that. One bad ingredient can throw the whole thing off!Oh, also I wished the bread had been a little warmer, though overall it was good.Otherwise, a pleasant experience and I'd try it again if I ever come back to Portland.

This was delicious. Also, the PoBoy was much more than I could eat.I enjoyed this fresh and as leftovers! I'd recommend it.I'll be back, and I'll recommend this place to all my hotel guests.
