Join neighbors and horticulture lovers for the 3rd annual Woodfords Community Garden Tour from the Friends of Woodfords Corner. A self-guided tour of twelve gardens throughout the Woodfords Corner Community – in Back Cove, Deering Highlands, Oakdale, and Deering Center. Enjoy an afternoon wandering the lovely hidden gems and meeting neighbors. All attendees can “make a day of it” by visiting the local restaurants & markets in the Corner! Prepare to immerse yourself in a day of music, art, and community as talented performers and artists come together to showcase their craft. From rock to folk, indie to hip-hop, there will be something to satisfy every musical taste.
Embroidered Pride Banner Community Project and Workshop | Equality Community Center | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Queer Craft Club of Maine has an exciting community project lined up to celebrate Pride Month. Together, they’ll be creating an embroidered banner that pays tribute to local community center, the Equality Community Center. The design, skillfully crafted by Shannon Downeym will feature 56 cotton squares in 8 vibrant colors. Each square represents a unique opportunity for participants to showcase their embroidery skills and contribute to the banner. Led by Shannon herself, this workshop will provide guidance and support to participants of all skill levels. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute to this remarkable project. So, pick up a square from the bag, gather your embroidery supplies, and let your creativity shine! Register.

Celebrate Pride with a group bike ride through East Bayside. Meet at Austin Street Brewery’s Fox Street tasting room where you can first decorate your bike with streamers and spokes beads! After that an easy 3 mile ride will be lead through the neighborhood that starts and ends at the Fox Street tasting room. Stay after your ride to enjoy some beers and visit the Maine TransNet table representative to learn more about their June featured charity and why they’re so great! *Attendees will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival.
