FRIDAY

Kick off your weekend at Dogfish where Rexy and the Bones will be performing live. This unique set delivers funky music, including covers of Blackstreet, Glass Animal, TLC, and of course some of their originals. There is no cover, just a suggested donation of $10 will get you through the doors. Don’t miss out!

Keep the music going at Portland House of Music and watch Royal Hammer with The Far East perform live. Get your tickets early for only $8 or wait and get them at the door for $10. Doors open at 8, music starts at 9.

If you’re like me you can’t listen to live music without food, Slab solves all your problems this summer with their summer music series. This week grab the much anticipated pepperoni hand slab and jam with Andrew Bailie. Bailie is an American blues, funk and soul guitarist and singer-songwriter, you will be sorry if you miss it!

If you haven’t checked out the new night club and concert venue, Aura make sure to check it out this weekend to see Big Head Todd & The Monsters who have evolved into one of the most adventurous and respected bands in America. Their trademark hybrid sound is immediately recognizable. Big Head Todd & The Monsters captivate their audience through the language of the blues. Doors open at 8, show starts at 9!

Not in the mood to see live music, but still want to check out Aura? Laugh until you cry at Local Laugh: Sizzlin’ Hot Summer Show in the Aura basement. This is a free event featuring Micaela Tepler, Kevin Neales, Phoebe Angle, and Aharon Willows-Hebert. Doors open at 8:00, show starts at 8:30.

SATURDAY

Join us Saturday morning at Fork Food Lab’s July Market. July’s market is on schedule to be the biggest and best one to date. Come grab your favorite Fork Food Lab products and try the new products they have available. This market will feature food trucks, packaged treats, beer, wine and family fun! This is a free event, come over with the family and check it out!

After you’ve visited Fork Food Lab dance your way downtown for the Dance Mile! The Dance Mile is an interactive festival ending with a one hour dance parade through the city. Dance your way around town following a custom sound track, amazing MC’s and all your favorite DJ’s.

The dance party continues at Brick South at Thompson’s Point for the FxD Block Party. This exclusive summer dance party features live performances, DJs and draw dropping visuals. Doors open at 9 and the party kicks off at 9:30.

If you are looking for some free entertainment this weekend, Bayside Bowl has you covered. Wait, usLights, and Cape Cannons will be performing live. While you’re there head up to the roof top bar and grab a drink.

Who says you cant drink beet AND be fit? Come down to the Eastern Prom for Shipyard Brewing Company’s Be Well Bootcamp & Beer event. Brace yourself for a one hour bootcamp style fitness class lead by Marina Urbano. After the grueling work out head to Shipyard Brewing for a thirst quenching post-workout beer. Don’t forget to bring your own mat!

Tie dye is coming back into style. Join the staff at Sister’s Gourmet Deli and tie dye your honorary sister t-shit. All proceeds for this super fun day will go to Hardy Girls Healthy Women & Girls on the Run, non-profit organizations the empower young women. Donate what you can and leave with a cool new shirt!

Wear your new t-shirt to Cellardoor Winery for Sunday Pairings: Fishin’ Ship. Fishin’ Ships will be serving up three tasty bites to pair with three Cellardoor wine. Explore how wine and food compliment each other at this delicious event. Joint us there for only $8.
