Liquid Riot sold and will undergo brand refresh to become Camp Pennant.
Mike Fraser has announced his latest restaurant coming to Portland, Camp Pennant. Popular brewery Liquid Riot located on Commercial Street, has transferred ownership and will undergo a rebrand in the process. The new restaurant will be called Camp Pennant, with a beverage line under the name Pennant Brewing & Distilling. Frasier is well known in the community for his other successful restaurants around Portland including Bramhall, Roma Cafe, CBG, Paper Tiger, Nosh, and Nosh Taco.
The location will be given a refresh to encompass the new identity, but not undergo any major renovations. The space will have a casual, backyard lifestyle feel, have a nod to camping, and encompass the Maine outdoor lifestyle. Fraser is also working with his business partners Marcus Alcantara and Nace Cohen from Paper Tiger to bring Camp Pennant to life. Camp Pennant will be given a new unique feel, and feature a wood-fired oven to make you feel like you’re sitting around the campfire. They will have seafood and Neapolitan pizza offerings, all which will be cooked in the new oven, which is to be installed.
They will also refresh the beverage offerings under the Pennant label. You will be able to find drinks under the name Pennant Brewing & Distilling. They will shift from wheat based vodka to a gluten free corn based vodka. In addition to vodka, their beverage line will consist of bourbon, gin, scotch, rum as well as light and dark lagers. Down the road, they hope to expand into creating seltzers, and ready to drink cocktails.
Liquid Riot will remain open now until June 2nd, and close for about a week to prepare for the launch of Camp Pennant.
