Every Tuesday, for four consecutive Tuesdays this summer, Lincoln Park will once again play welcoming host to our Summer Concert Series! Check out this awesome lineup!
First up, on Tuesday, July 18th, the Wayne Street Band, aka The Lincoln Park Troubadors will kick off the series with their toe-tapping acoustic roots music. Playing originals, pop covers, country, a little bit of bluegrass, blues, this show promises to be full of surprises!
A week later, on Tuesday, July 25th, Zoot Jumpers will bring their hot jump blues and swing to the Park. Featuring the great music of Count Basie, Louis Jordan, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and more, the Jumpers’ set list is always totally danceable!
Tuesday, August 1st will see the Blues Prophets import some Chicago-style blues to the park. They’ve played with many musical legends during their 40-plus-year career, including Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, Professor Longhair, Pinetop Perkins, and so many more, and always put on an unmissable show!
Finally, on Tuesday, August 8th, The Renovators will close out the concert series by rocking the park with their original tunes full of soul, funk, blues, and humor. A show by this veteran band is the perfect way to cap off the summer concerts!
The LoveLincolnPark Summer Concert Series is co-sponsored by the Friends of Lincoln Park and the inimitable Jamie Isaacson, who through his long experience in the music industry has graciously booked all of the bands. All of the concerts are free to all, although donations going toward the restoration of the Park will be cheerfully accepted. We’ll see you at the shows!
