Dock Fore Tavern, situated in the historic Old Port neighborhood, is an iconic local sports bar and pub known for their gourmet jello shots and low key atmosphere.

This beloved establishment, around for over four decades, is a quaint and unpretentious spot that’s ideal for a relaxing pint. The pub originally opened its doors in 1980, taking over the space that was once the famous Zeitman’s Grocery Store, becoming a part of the city’s rich cultural heritage.

During summer, patrons can soak up the sun in the outdoor parklet while indulging mimosas, margaritas and draft beers. Enjoy some of the local cuisine with fresh crab and lobster on the menu.

Dock Fore is a popular destination for bachelorette parties and attracts a diverse crowd of locals and visitors alike. The establishment’s drink specials include:

Daily: 3-7pm: $1.95 Pints 3-7pm
Daily: 7pm-Close: $3.95 20 oz Drafts
Wednesday: 3pm-Close: $4.95 House Margaritas
Saturday & Sunday: 12 -7pm: $3.95 Mimosas

This is the opposite of most Portland places, in the best way. Instead of being garishly indie, it's basic and functional (but charming, lots of local art on the walls). Instead of being expensive and underwhelming, it's delicious drinks at a good price (we did not try the food). Instead of standoffish employees who are mad at you for making them work, you get charming and attentive (but not intrusive) bartenders. And they make sure your dog gets a drink too!Overall 10/10

We needed a spot to watch the Vikings football game on Sunday, Sept 10th. Although I wouldn't call the Dock Fore a big sports bar to watch a game, I will now forever know that it is a great spot to go! The staff and owner make you feel like you're a member of the family. We didn't eat at Dock Fore because we had a big breakfast, but I can't wait to go back and enjoy the atmosphere, the people, and the food!

No frills locals bar, with great prices and great service. Jello shots are a must. Also the CLEANEST bar I have ever been to, even though it looks like an time capsule from the late 80s.
