Absolutely amazing, the best restaurant I've been to in Portland recently. I had the Cowboy Cassoulet which was very savory and had a mixture of three well prepared smoked meats with beans. My wife and I also shared the Lobster Bini, a small sharing dish but worth it. The servers were great as well.

Such a great spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious & unique eggs Benedict, friendly server, beautiful booths, bar and fun decor. We are lucky to have this in the neighborhood and are excited to come back for dinner!

Great brunch spot. The mimosas were delicious. Food was great! I recommend the huevos Ocotillo and Clark Street Eggs Benedict. Churros were an awesome choice for dessert! Busy atmosphere and super friendly and helpful bartender. We will definitely be back.Returned for a second time to try the new dinner menu. Still good, but not as good as brunch...

“Delightful” is the word that comes to mind while dining at Ocotillo. The decor is beautiful, service great, and food and bev were both exciting and comforting. The mushroom taco was a highlight (even for two meat-eaters). No doubt we will be coming back!

Phenomenal place.First time in Portland, Maine and the first stop we ate at, and hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had. Not to mention the exceptional service. Special shoutout to our server, Marshall, for being so friendly and insightful. Marshall had us try the housemade mole sauce which was amazing! Aldo was so sweet in accommodating us and Anna was incredible for coming out to clarify whether I wanted the hot lemonade or the “hard” lemonade (definitely wanted the first)! The best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had to date. I’ll definitely be coming back. :)I had the smoked haddock Benedict and a hot lemonade (highly recommend)!

I can't describe how amazing this place was. Unbelievably good food and probably one of the best eatery location I have experienced in the US. I got the grilled cheese and corn bread which were quickly destroyed by my taste pallets. UNDERRATED UNDERRATED AND UNDERRATED. You have to give this place a shot if you visiting Portland like us. My GF had the haddock egg benedict, which she fell in love with. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience here as a solo diner. Seats are very comfortable and cozy, service was great, and the flatware, ceramics, and music all seemed intentional and lovely. Really dug the funk playing! For food, I got the hash at the servers recommendation and added the pancakes. Normally I wouldn’t get hash, as I’m not a big fan of smoke or meat in general, but I really enjoyed it! Only thing I would change is a little more potato for that yummy sauce and yolks. Next time I’ll add cornbread for that purpose. For the pancakes, I was so pleasantly surprised by how much the masa shines, giving it a savory quality that was just delicious! As was the pineapple syrup! I usually find myself wanting for real maple with pancakes but it barely crossed my mind here. The server was very sweet and let me order a cappuccino in the literal last minute and I’m also pleased to report that the bartender knows how to pull espresso shots. When this place got announced, I rolled my eyes, but now that I’ve been here I wish them the best, and I’ll be back!

Stopped by Ocotillo on a whim after grabbing some goodies from Zu bakery. We were served by Gwen at the bar who was PHENOMENAL. I was craving a breakfast margarita but am not currently drinking, and she generously volunteered to make me a mocktail riff which was both gorgeous and delicious. We had the pork shoulder and brisket breakfast tacos which were heavily laden with meat smoked in-house. The pork was perfect with deliciously rendered fat dripping with every bite. Brisket had bits of crispy fat while remaining perfectly moist. The only other thing I can say is that we’ll be back!

Amazing!! The meal surpassed our expectations and then some. Yummy drinks, delicious food, and if I could rate more than 5 stars for atmosphere and service I would in a heartbeat. I can’t say enough good things about this place, can’t wait for our next visit!

A local bartender recommended and we were so happy with our brunch. Shared the short stack pancakes … not too sweet with delicious butter blend and the pineapple syrup. I had the empanada with green salsa. It was brisket mushroom filling. You could taste each filling ingredient clearly and the green salsa worked so well with it. My friend got the eggs, refried beans on a corn tortilla with red and green sauce. We were both very happy and would definitely god back.

⭐️🍽After wanting to try this place, we finally wandered in on a Friday morning and were pleasantly surprised by the availability! The staff was phenomenal, giving us a tour and letting us choose our seat. We opted for a quaint two-top. The decor screams Southwest, and the seating is super comfortable. 🌵We started with the bacon jam taquitos, which were complemented by a vinaigrette salad. The hollandaise for dipping is soooo flavorful! 😋 I’m not a big breakfast fan, so I chose the brisket sandwich. It’s great to have a brunch menu with egg-less options—thank you! 🙌 My partner went with the brisket hash and really liked the mix of sweet and white potatoes. If you didn't know, this restaurant group has the best brisket in town! We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. There are so many great options to choose from! 🌮🥗

We were so very impressed with this beautiful restaurant called Ocotillo! It is a must visit. The food was extremely tasty, and the service was top-notch!! It's one of our new favorite breakfast spots! The atmosphere is cozy, and the style of the restaurant is inviting with such a friendly vibe. We will be back soon!! We highly recommend it.

Well, four months in this place absolutely rocks the local food scene. Southern influenced (austin tx apparently) creative takes on some standards but way, way more than that it establishes an amazing modern take on tex mex brunch - insanely tasty and even dare I say bordering on sophisticated without the snobbery, The cuisine flavours dig into their BBQ smoky based Terlinqua roots (and ownership) I had the pork pastrami benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs, freshly made and delicate hollandaise on a potato/pork/pastrami hash cake. Served also with some greens which are a great counterpoint to the deep smokiness of the meat. Add a little homemade hot sauce (not over the top hot btw) and it was excellent. Add to all this gluttonous delight is a bright, modern interior with southwest orange hued walls/ceilings complemented with contemporary light wood furniture. Service staff were friendly and knowledgeable, giving recommendations and capably explaining the menu. Get there before 9 if you want to ensure getting a table or a bar place (where I was, happily). They also have soem great drinks which I hope to try on my next, very soon, visit.

Yes. Yes. Yes! Portland has desperately needed more brunch places, and Ocotillo has blown it out of the park with its brunch/breakfast offerings. I’m so glad I dined here right after they opened because I feel they’re about to be one of Portland’s hottest breakfast spots. We just don’t have anything else like it in town.Southwestern influence in Portland? Say less. When I stepped inside, I felt like I was in a terracotta-hued daydream with New Mexico vibes. The space at Ocotillo was simply a feast for my eyes — you could tell that every element was meticulously designed. The velvety orange booths, the plants, and the art wall all work perfectly together without it feeling like they’re trying too hard. It felt authentic. The menu was impressive and extensive. They offer everything: soups, salads, tacos, plates, and sandwiches. I want to go back and try it all. I ordered the Terlingua Brisket Hash, and holy moly, talk about a tasty brunch plate. The poached eggs and brisket were perfectly cooked. I topped it with their homemade hot sauce and just couldn’t get enough of it. Also, their coffee was phenomenal. The service was also excellent, but I think my favorite thing about Ocotillo is that they made their menu accessible. I checked, and all plates are under $20. Given the location, quality, and experience, this is a great deal in Portland, and I hope they remain affordable through the years.I think I may have just found my new favorite brunch spot?

A nicely designed interior, but for me, the booths are a bit snug, and any next time, will opt for a table. My wife enjoyed her sunshine dream cocktail, and I can confirm it was very good. Churros with the dulce de leche were just right. She ordered the chicken & the egg which she enjoyed. I had the terlingua brisket hash. It looked great, but I found the brisket a little dry even after breaking my poached eggs, and the plate was under seasoned. Service was good, though he did forget to separate the check for our group. By all means, make a reservation, and parking was a pain to find with the recent James Beard award winning bakery next door.

Amazing Vibes and fabulous cuisine!! The music was the best (Cuban Big Band/Mexican Genre) The Mimosas were so delicious!

Ended up here by accident and had an incredible brunch. The caviar masa pancake, Bloody Mary and brisket hash all impressed, as did the excellent service.

Ocotillo offers a unique and flavorful brunch experience in Portland's West End. The bartender was great and made suggestions on the food and drinks. Great find.

One of the only places to actually brunch in town. The skylights were the perfect touch, team.

The atmosphere and food at Ocotillo are an absolute delight! The space is so bright and filled with fun seating and art. Everything we had was delicious, so but the churros with blueberry sauce were a hit with the table. We can’t wait to go back, what a treat to have in the West End!

Excellent food. Very nice atmosphere! From beginning to end a treat.

The service, vibe and atmosphere are all spot on at Ocotillo and create a wonderful Brunch experience. The food, though, absolutely knocks it out of the park! Being a ‘hash’ fan for many years, I had to try their brisket hash and it did not disappoint! Others in my party tried a variety of menu items as well as some fun drinks from the bar. Everyone had clean plates, happy faces and many plans to return soon. Family friendly, light and bright space, staff that were genuinely making sure your experience was a good one and creative, fun food…a wonderful option for a morning or mid day meal!

I can’t wait to go back again! I have 2 kiddos and the vibe is so friendly for them… but it’s also the perfect spot for friends to chat over brunch without kids! We had the churros & huevos and the sauces were amazing!! So excited for their outdoor patio, too!

Great food, atmosphere and service! Everything was super fresh and packed with flavor. We thought the mushroom taco was the highlight of our meal. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
