Celebrating the best of what this seaside “Restaurant City of the Year” has to offer, Portland Wine Week is a comprehensive experience for wine enthusiast, drawing in attendees from all over the United State to Maine to enjoy seminars, tastings, weeklong deals, special events, and more!
Most, if not all, events are expected to sell out quickly. To ensure you don’t miss out on the fun, here’s a glimpse at a few events you cannot miss this 2024 line-up!

Wine Sails
There’s no better way to enjoy fine wine than aboard the 74-foot Sailboat, Frances as it heads out on Portland’s Casco Bay promising scenic views of lighthouses, islands, and waterways. Presented by Wine Wise, some of current sails still available (they go quickly!) includes the Wine & Food Sail with Chef Mimi Weissenborn of Sur Lie; Celebrating Women Winemakers Wine Sail; Wine & Food Sail with Chef Paolo Laboa of Solo Italiano; Wine Sail: South Africa. Jenn will be pouring premium wine pairings, including some world-renowned wines, from tête de cuvée champagne to grand cru wines and everything in between, each selected to enhance and complement Chef Wyatt’s delicious four-course prix fixe menu made from local, seasonal ingredients.”

“Join Friends & Family Thursday – Sunday for a celebration of female and nonbinary winemakers! Each day will feature a special bottle from some of their favorite producers, each showcasing a different region, growing style, or winemaker journey. This is your chance to savor some truly rare and delicious selections, all available by the glass and by the bottle. All of the wines will also be clearly marked and available for purchase so that you can take your favorite bottles home with you.”

“Ocotillo [oh-koh-tee-yo], a new brunch spot coming to you from the amazing team at Terlingua, is welcoming Maine’s Oyster River Winegrowers for a one-time event! Chef Al Zoni will prepare Mexican and Southwestern Springtime-inspired flavors that will pair perfectly with the distinct, natural, terroir-driven wines made by the acclaimed Oyster River Winegrowers team in midcoast Maine!
Wines will be offered by the glass alongside a delicious a la carte menu. Winemaker Brian Smith will be present to talk with guests about the winemaking process and story of Oyster River, a small farm winery in Warren, Maine.”

“Get whisked away to southern Italy with Isa Bistro during a delicious five-course dinner highlighting the wines of Cantele. Chef Isaul Perez will create bistro-style fare to complement this beautiful lineup of wines that showcases the native grapes of Puglia, Italy. A James Beard 2023 Semi-Finalist, Isaul’s unique style combines his Mexican heritage with extensive experience cooking French and Italian cuisine. His wife and fellow co-owner, Sommelier Suzie Perez and Fred Mullins of Vias Imports will guide you through five delicious wines of Cantele.”
