Best BBQ in Portland hands down! Considering what a decent meal costs in this city, it’s a great deal too. Got a four meat platter for $36 with prime brisket, pulled pork shoulder, ribs, and Texas hot links. Great sides and solid drink selection. The outdoor seating is awesome and consists of multiple levels and terraces. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t yet!

We had the large plate today. The corn bread was excellent, and the mashed eggplants too. The ribs and sausage were excellent, the pulled pork and brisket were very good. I wish there was more a smoke ring on that brisket, I wonder why there wasn't on the two pieces we had.The big downside however is that the meats were not hot, they weren't cold, but rather just warmer than room temp. The sides were nice and hot, but the meats being just over room temp was a big disappointment, especially when the flavors were there.

Really good barbecue food - particularly the pickles and brisket. I wasn't such a fan of the sausage, but the rest of the platter was great, as were the tortilla chips and cheese dip. I appreciated the willingness to swap the pasta salad for a side sale

Amazing restaurant! One of the best barbecue I've had in a fun atmosphere. We got the deviled eggs and large dinner platter. The eggs were to die for, meats smoked to perfection and even the pickled veggies totally threw me off at how amazing they were. Would 100% go back again and excited for the leftovers!

Anytime someone from far away comes to visit me, I take them here. And of course, everyone loves it because it’s amazing. What you should order if you have 2-4 people in your party: lunch or small dinner board & the Mac and cheese. Also, all staff members are quite literally the nicest and friendliest people to exist.

Delicious! The smoked brisket tacos were quite possible the best tacos I've had. My husband and I shared them, and were so surprised by how good they were, we felt compelled to try the chicken tacos as well. Equally as good. We also had the Corn Succatosh app, also a great dish. Fresh and tasty.

The food and atmosphere here are both top quality. No comparison for barbecue most anywhere.Pork belly stands out the most but so does the corn bread and insane deviled eggs. They grow their own veggies and herbs!

Wow! The flavors are strong and well blended. They also combine textures well, crunchy mixed with tender. The service was excellent from the door to the table. I highly recommend this for a group or a date night.

I went with two girlfriends and we shared a large BBQ board, a Terlingua salad with tempura mushroom, chips and salsa, and finished with the Tres Leches cake. Just a side note that the salsa has a little kick to it, which I love, but if you don’t eat spicy food then it might not be for you. They did not indicate on the menu that the salsa would be spicy. We sat outside in the back and the weather was perfect. We had a great experience. We would have been fine with sharing just one large bbq board between the three of us. We had plenty of food left to bring home at the end. Overall, I highly recommend this place for going with your family and friends. The only slightly negative experience I had was being surprised with “Fair Wage Charge” fee of 3% added to the bill. It’s not that I’m against a fair wage, but I don’t even know what that means. There was no explanation for it and it wasn’t indicated anywhere on the menu that there would be an extra fee. I know a lot of restaurants are adding additional fees these days but it seems like you can call it whatever you want and just slap the fee on top of the bill.

Came here with my partner and his brother and had a fantastic meal. They ordered the tequila flights, outstanding, and I got a tropical drink. We shared a chicken tamale and the meat board special and was very satisfied. We love coming to this delicious restaurant!

This is hands down the best barbecue restaurant place that I have tried in Maine, the meat is so tasty and soft, no need of a knife to cut it, good portions for the price and very good quality. Big place and seating in the back as an open terrasse, everything I tried, even a simple dish as mac and cheese was delicious. I highly recommend this place.

An outdoor oasis that will make you feel like you are in California with some incredible food and drinks!Terlingua has become a tradition for dinner one night every time my husband and I are in Portland and we haven't been disappointed once!Pictured is the Small Dinner BBQ Board

This place is a totally gem! The meat was absolutely delicious. So tender and juicy and the accompanying sauces elevated the flavor experience. We also tried the fish tacos & garlic chicken tacos which were to die for. Best fish tacos I have ever had.The only downside is that they charge you for each refill of soda (they start you out with a small mason jar and don’t mention the cost for refills). They also have a great outdoor space and the atmosphere & service were outstanding. (Thanks Abby). We will absolutely return in the future.

We came in while on a trip to Portland on the recommendation of a friend and Terlingua did not disappoint. This was maybe the best meal we had in Portland and one of our group (me) doesn’t even eat meat. The service was top notch. The vibes were off the chart. The drinks were fantastic (can’t recommend the Oaxacian punch enough). The food was fantastic. The meat eaters loved the big sharing plate and some tacos as well as sharing some of the veggie options. The mushroom tacos changed my life.

BBQ experience you won't forget!! Ordered the large platter, it's impossible choose what protein was better. Every ingredient elevated the perfectly smoked meat. Corn bread is probably the best I've ever had.

One of the best places to go in Portland! This spot came highly recommended from some friends so we made sure to make a reservation during our weekend trip. Let me just say, it did not disappoint, we’re still talking about the brisket and chicken tacos! Everything was delicious from start to finish but the tacos were excellent. The atmosphere on the deck was perfect for a summer evening and you totally forget you’re in the city back there. This place is a must if you’re visiting!!

First time at Terlingua as we are new to Portland. Finally had dinner with some friends on a Friday night and we fell in love with the outdoor patio nestled among the lush trees. The BBQ was delicious & truly good cocktails. Excellent customer service- this will definitely be one of our new go to restaurants.

Absolutely loved this place. The tacos were amazing! Hubby got brisket. I got the carnitas, and we swapped 1 for 1. BOTH were amazing. Don't miss the chips n guac because it's the freshest, best tasting guacamole I've had. Our waitress was delightful and attentive. The atmosphere on the multi-level terrace is great! Really can't say enough good about this place!

Entering the restaurant was misleading in a great way. We entered off the street after hearing good things about the food. We took a seat at the bar and was greeted warmly by the nice guy pouring drinks. We ordered some ceviche and the lunch meat plate to share. The food was fantastic, portions were spot on and the drink were really good. A very delicious lunch.

If I could give this place a million stars I would. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. We shared the bbq plate, mac and cheese, and deviled eggs. I still dream about that cornbread and Cole slaw. Probably one of my top 10 meals ever. My 2 year old devoured the brisket.

Always an incredible experience at terlingua. The bbq board is a must and usually always split it between two of us and it leaves us stuffed after an appetizer or two as well (or with some leftovers). The entire board is so delicious and when I went for the first time, the worker who dropped the board off suggested using the spicy vinegar on the brisket and let me tell you that is the thing to do it’s amazing. Got the deviled eggs this time and they were great just wish I could eat 10 of them, we opted to get an extra fourth so we didn’t have to fight over the last one.

The food is exceptional. Try daily specials and pork belly in dinner box. The daily special -fried ribs with sesame and coffee was astonishing. The atmosphere in terrace is very nice. Service is fast and staff is nice. It is incredibly affordable for this quality.

Everything about this place is exceptional. We definitely recommend the "lunch board" BBQ Platter. Thank you for all your goodness 😋. Keep up the great work and we hope to see you soon and often 😀 .

We went for the 1st time tonight with friends from out of state. Lots of friends had recommended going. Well it was Amazing! We all shared the large plate. The BBQ meats were so good and the sides did not disappoint. The corn bread was out of this world. This place is a must!We will be returning to try all of their delicious foods!

If you want a 'good ole smoker feed', go to a roadside pit, if you want a new look on BBQ, this is the place! Food was excellent (not as spicy as I would like) with beautiful presentation and great wait staff. Finding a parking spot was horrible and not accessible to any slight mobility issue.

We were blown away by this place! We sat outside on the patio and it was so cozy and fun! My wife and I got the succotash to start and it was incredibly delicious. I got the brisket tacos while she got the fish tacos. I would say that these tacos were in the top 3 tacos that I’ve ever had! HIGHLY recommend! Also loved the hot sauces. So yummy!

We absolutely adore this place! While Terlingua is our go-to spot for takeout, we truly relish the chance to savor the dining-in experience. Today marked our first time enjoying the outdoor patio, and it's no surprise that it's always booked with a wait—it's incredibly charming! The picnic benches were spacious and comfortable. For today's visit, we decided to try the fried ribs (which were a special, explore the options on their website daily). Hands down, they were the best ribs we've ever had—sticky, sweet, with just the right amount of spice. For lunch, we stuck to our tried-and-true favorites: the brisket tacos and the lunch board. The cornbread, pickled veggies, and giddyup sauce truly complete the plate. You can never go wrong with this selection. Our advice: plan ahead and make reservations, or opt for takeout. You won't regret it!

Visited Terlingua a few weeks ago, and we were very much impressed. The smoked meats were mouthwatering, and all of our dishes were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised.

Decided on this place because we wanted some good smoked meats. It definitely didn’t disappoint! With many options to chose from for seating. Outside decks, covered with heaters if needed. But let’s get to the food. The corn succotash is warm and perfect. We ordered the clam cakes as an appy. They are huge and worth every penny. Then we had the small dinner board. OMG the brisket though! And the grilled cornbread! Their Sangria is so refreshing you will want to take a growler home. Yes, I said growler. They sell them to go in their market along with their sauces. I took home a gluten free bread made locally. Review to follow on that!

A must stop for BBQ while in Portland! The service and food were both amazing. Started off with the tortilla chips and guacamole, which was amazing. Also, need to try the Mac and cheese appetizer which our little food conniseur highly approved. For entree, we tried the 2lb BBQ Board meat platter - this was plenty of food for two adults and three teenagers. The drinks consisted of Maine Lunch (beer) and Old Fashioned drink which were both amazing.. Can't wait to return here when back in Portland!!

Very good barbecue restaurant with a Mexican twist. We started with a few drinks from their tequila inspired cocktail menu. We then started off with the succotash which was excellent. The cotija mixed very well with the fresh seasonal vegetables. There were three of us and we share the large barbecue board -it was more then enough for three people and would rest for four. Each bit of meat with better than the next. The ribs were excellent and the pork and brisket were extremely tender. The corn bread was divine, it is very buttery but delicious.
