Pliny and Melanie Reynolds, the owners of Terlingua restaurant, have announced their newest dining venture, Ocotillo. This brunch focused restaurant will be situated at 211 Danforth St, located in the former location of The Danforth in the West End. They are scheduled to open in the Spring of 2024. Ocotillo will operate as a brunch restaurant open from 8:00am – 3:00pm (weekly schedule TBA). In the evenings, it will also serve as an event space with room for up to 106 guests with their indoor and outdoor seating. This will serve as a space to host events such as private parties, pop-ups, corporate and wedding groups, and more.
In addition to an abundance of natural light, they have incorporated their Terlingua-style color palette, as well as golden-hour tones into the space. With flavors inspired by Texas and Mexico, their menu will include items such as breakfast tacos, tortas, huevos rancheros divorciados, as well as “table share” must haves like homemade churros. In addition to these, you can expect to see rotating seasonal specials. (See sample menu below)
