Becky’s Diner: There’s nothin’ finah! A staple in the Portland scene, Becky’s offers an extensive breakfast/brunch menu featuring all the classics starting bright & early at 6am until 4pm. They are currently offering heated uncovered porch dining & indoor dining, as well as, takeout.
Batson River Brewing & Distilling in Portland: First up to bat? It’s the newcomer, Batson River, which recently opened a second location in Maine & the first in Portland in the Bayside neighborhood. Sweet & savory brunch is available in their spacious indoor dining Saturday & Sunday from 11:30am-4pm.
Bayside American Cafe: Well known, & always enjoyed, this Portland brunch spot is serving specialty brunch indoor & for takeout Thursday-Monday from 8am-1pm. Reservations recommended!
Bayside Bowl: The combination that we didn’t know we needed but sure are thankful for, Bayside Bowl is now offering Brunch & Bowl Saturday & Sunday until 1pm featuring $5 Mimosas & Bloody Marys. You’ll also find on the menu, Breakfast Poutine, French Toast, BOPO Egg Sandwich & more. Indoor dining only.
Chaval: This Spanish & French eaterie is offering Brunch on their heated patio & in their reservable greenhouses Sunday from 7am-9:30am. Reservations for greenhouses can be made only over the phone & have a $25 charge. Menu includes their “Huevos Rotos con Jamón” with Fried Maine Duck Egg, House Spiced Kettle Potato Chips, 18 Month Serrano Ham & Olive Oil.
Congress Bar & Grill: This Congress Street gem serves brunch from 11am-4pm every Saturday & Sunday, as well as, all-day Industry Brunch on Mondays. Biscuits, breakfast potatoes, bacon… do we need to say more? Indoor dining only.
Dutch’s: If you are from around here, you know the saying…”if it ain’t Dutch, then it ain’t much!” Serving homemade breakfast & lunch for takeout only as of current, Dutch’s is known for their crispy hashbrowns, their sticky pastries (We still dream about their Grapefruit & St. German Danish!), & their fried runny eggs. Open Tuesday-Sunday 8am-2pm. Order online.
Gritty McDuff’s: Eat. Drink. Recover. That’s the motto at Gritty’s brunch, which is back & running Saturday & Sunday from 9am-11am. Menu features items like cheesy home fries & french toast! While, Mimosas & Bloody Marys are also in abundant supply, along with any delicious pint of Gritty’s ale of your choosing. For the Rugby fans, on the TV, they will also be featuring Six Nations Rugby games every weekend.
Little Giant: After working hard to accommodate outdoor dining in the middle of winter, Little Giant located in the West End, recently opened their heated open-air, covered patio & is offering Sunday brunch from 9:30am-2:30pm. Reservations accepted.
Local 188: Brunch is currently available Saturday & Sunday 9am-2pm, for limited indoor dining & patio dining. This local Spanish cuisine & Tapas restaurant has been known as a go-to brunch spot for years as it never disappoints!
Marcy’s Diner: This beloved diner is open Thursday-Sunday, 9am-2pm, for takeout & delivery via Carhop only. Menu includes FOUR types of mimosas (classic, blueberry, raspberry, or strawberry), as well as, a Bloody Mary. Certainly not to be missed is their Holy Donut French Toast in three flavors (including Coconut!), & all gluten-free.
Ruski’s Tavern: A classic. Open since 1892, this traditional pub & American diner located in the West End offers all-day brunch (because why limit something so delicious?) every day from 8am-11pm.
Three Dollar Deweys: Guess who’s back!? It’s Three Dollar Dewey’s Brunch! Portland’s Original Ale House is now serving brunch 9am-2pm Sundays only. Menu includes a Corned Beef Sandwich, Avocado Toast, Breakfast Burrito, & so much more.
The Sinful Kitchen: With food so good it should be a sin, The Sinful Kitchen is open & offering Brunch Thursday-Monday 8am-1pm for both indoor seating & takeout available to order online. For those with a gluten allergy, The Sinful Kitchen is well versed in the preparation of gluten-free options & does offer an alternative gluten-free menu.
Union: Serving up enhanced farm-fresh local cuisine, Union Restaurant located inside The Press Hotel in the Old Port, has Brunch available Saturday & Sunday from 8am-1pm. During the week (Monday-Friday), The Press Hotel’s coffee & light breakfast bar, Inkwell Lounge, is open 8am-11am.
