
The Brackets are out and it’s time to get your picks in before March Madness really begins. March Madness games officially start on March 15th and 16th with the First Four games, and round one of the bracket games begins on Thursday, March 17th (plan your day now for maximum basketball and St. Paddy’s Day celebrations).
So, with the first tip-off of the tournament only hours away, where’s the best spot to catch all the action? We’re laying out all the locations in Portland you can head to this March Madness to root for your favorite school…and pray for no first round bracket busters.

Commercial Street Pub: Catch the games on any of their nine TVs in the bar, while sipping back on one of their $7 High Noon drink specials running for the tournament.

Dock Fore: They’ll be opening at noon for the weekend of March 18th-20th with up to 4 games on at once, and select pints for $1.95 until 7PM. All games will be played on TV at once for the rest of the tourney, with regular specials.
Fore Play: Head to one of the Old Port’s few remaining sports bars to catch all the games on their many TVs.
Free Street Portland: Watch all the games on their numerous big screens around the restaurant.

Gritty McDuff’s: Starting on the 18th, you can show up to watch all of the tournament’s games, and be sure to ask for their secret menu only available during the games with drink specials available for March Madness fans.
Nosh: Root on your favorite team on all their TVs from 4PM-10PM during the week, and 4PM-11PM Friday and Saturday.

OTTO: Starch Madness is up and running on their Instagram. Follow and vote on daily polls to crown the best pizza in a bracket of 32 different pies from March 14th through April 4th. A $250 Otto gift card will go out to a random winner who participates in voting on their stories each day.
Rivalries: Come watch the games and take place in their best of Portland beer tournament at the same time. Two local brews will go head-to-head in each round until they determine the winner!

Three Dollar Dewey’s: They’ll be playing the games everyday throughout the tournament, but that’s just the beginning. Don’t miss your chance to get in on their bracket tournament. Each round, they’ll be one $100 gift card winner to either The Porthole or Saltwater Grille, with a final grand prize of $500 in gift cards to Porthole, Dewey’s, Lone Pine, and Lone Pine Branded Cornhole boards for the overall winner.
