Everyone’s favorite Irish holiday is right on the horizon! Just because it’s on a Monday this year doesn’t mean there’s nothing going on! Check out these local favorites and ring in St. Patty’s Day in style.
Boone’s: All Day St. Patrick’s Day Event
The perfect place to watch the parade! Live music from 9:30 am-2:30 pm by Lagniappe Trio, featuring members of The Fogcutters, Model Airplane and Sly Chi. Boone’s will be open at 8 am Sunday and Monday, serving Irish Breakfast and Traditional Fare. Don’t forget about the indoor and outdoor bar areas, Guinness on Draft, Jameson and Local Stouts. Did I mention there’s no cover charge? Do St. Patrick’s Day right!
Ri Ra: Kegs and Eggs
Are you brave enough to jump in the Eastern Promenade on St. Patrick’s Day? We guarantee, it will be worth your while: free breakfast at Ri Ra if you participate! What’s not to love? Not your thing? Ri Ra is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all week long.
Bull Feeney’s: Traditional Irish Breakfast
You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy a traditional Irish Breakfast and Bull Feeney’s is serving it, plus don’t miss their Traditional Boiled Dinner. You may just pretend to be Irish for a while after eating it. Also featured: Irish Benedict. I think the only thing better than regular eggs benedict may be the one that includes soda bread and hollandaise sauce.
Brian Boru: Live Music and Festivities All Day
Brian Boru is starting bright and early at 6 am on St. Patty’s Day. Come ready to eat a Traditional Irish Breakfast, and then listen to live music, like The Pubcrawlers (playing from 1-4 pm) and the Jason Spooner Band (from 5-8:30 pm). Come prepared to drink and be merry, the Irish way!
Oasis: Bringing Out The Green Beer
Your favorite place to drink and have a good time, Oasis, has green beer Sunday and Monday. Expect the day and night to blur together, while you enjoy an Irish holiday in Portland. See you there!
