The Weekend Guide for November 2nd – 4th

It’s the first weekend in November and it’s bringing us the First Friday Art Walk, good food, good music, good drinks, the first day of Portland Beer Week, and even an extra hour of sleep on Sunday. What could be better?!

Friday

Starting right as your weekend begins, The Maine Oyster Company is hosting Allagash founder and brewer Rob Tod for an evening of Allagash beer and fresh oysters. Get ready to slurp, sip, and repeat from 4-10 pm!

It’s time for November’s First Friday Art Walk! This week will feature shows and programming at galleries, shops, restaurants, bars, and more throughout the city from 5-8 pm.

The Portland Comedy Co-Op returns to Rising Tide Brewing Company for its autumnal edition of Comedy Brew Ha Ha. Shake off your Halloween hangover with an evening of laughter brought to you by comedians from here to Boston. The show starts at 7:30 pm!

Hot jazz (and some A1 barbecue) that you can sink your teeth into. Clyde Bisbee will be playing at Salvage BBQ starting at 8:30, and ending at 11:30 with full tummies and tapping-tuckered tootsies.

Saturday

Sunday

Arguably the best time of the weekend, Sunday Brunch is going on at Cellardoor Winery at the Point with Flip Creperie to combine local Maine and authentic European ingredients with French techniques and traditions! Get brunching at 11:30 am.

Don’t miss your chance to try beers and meet the people behind Maine’s newest breweries, all in one afternoon, all at Bayside Bowl with Maine Brewers’ Guild’s class of 2018! Your ticket to the event includes entry, all samples, souvenir tasting glass, and some snacks to cleanse your palate! Starting at 3 pm.

Also starting at 3 pm, the USBG Portland, Maine Chapter has teamed up with Wayside Food Programs to present their first annual Can Jamboree! At Bunker Brewing Company. Simply bring some non-perishable food items and enjoy all the beer and games your heart desires, for a good cause!
