Friday, May 26th– A nice long Memorial Day weekend is ahead of us. On Monday, May 29th, we remember those who have passed that fought with and for our country. Friday and Saturday in Portland is filled with music and a few smaller events but this is good, this is what we are all about, this is communion for us Portlanders. Big shows, little shows, beers and tradition with some time in between each to remember those who are gone. This is the place to be to stay positive and proud!
Pirates are here! Starting this Friday we can head over to the Portland Science Center on Commercial Street to see what is said to be an exhibition of authentic treasure and a true pirate ship. This exhibit runs to halloween, so you’ll have plenty of time to get in on the pirate scene and plan your next Captain Jack Sparrow costume.
Friday The Disco Biscuits are at the Maine State Pier, 12pm. This is a two day event but single day tickets are available to purchase. If you’re ready to kick off your summer with high energy, laser lights and fun this one or two day event will give you a huge electronic jump start on summer.
