The Weekend Guide for November 8th-10th

The weather is starting to chill but Portland, ME is heating up! This weekend is full of great events and performances! Check out the Celtic Fair, get a ticket to Maine Women’s Magazine Live, or meet the illustrator of the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine and the Flintstones. Grab a friend and head into the Old Port for lots of weekend fun!


Meet Ron Campbell, the illustrator of the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine at Prism Analog! Campbell has illustrated many beloved cartoons including Winnie the Pooh, the Smurfs, the Jetsons, and many more.

Bunker will be taking over Maps from 4pm-1am. Plus, Dj Hi-Duke will be spinning an all vinyl set from 9pm-close! Don’t miss it!

The third annual Onesie Dance Party hosted by Pub House Productions at the Whiskey Barrel. This event runs from 8pm-1am and the for the first hour drinks will be $1. This is a free event and is 21+ so bring your ID and your best dance moves! 


Shop at the tenth annual Celtic Fair hosted by the Maine Irish Heritage Center. There will be entertainment, delicious food, and vendors. This event runs from 9am-3pm.

Are you hungry? Mami Portland is partnering with Oxbow Brewing to bring you Ramen Night from 5-10pm. Grab a friend and get ready to chow down!

The Thirsty Pig will be hosting Beer Drinkers Disco Ball from 8-11pm. Dress in your best 70s attire and bring your dancing shoes!


Check out Maine Women Magazine LIVE! Grab yourself a ticket quickly because there will be complimentary massages, advice on skincare and cosmetics, a silent auction, treats, and wine! This event will be from 11am-4pm on Thompson’s Point and all ticket and silent auction proceeds will go to their non-profit partner, Her Presence. 

Oxbow Blending and Bottling will have live music from 6-10pm. Grab a brew and take in the tunes by Homegrown Residency.

Attend the Women’s 2nd Sunday Showcase between 7-9pm. New and established women singers, songwriters, and composers will be performing at Blue. Plus, internationally acclaimed Portland musician, Jenny Van West will be hosting!
