There’s no denying that the temperatures are dropping in Portland, but have we ever let that stop us before? Let’s get this weekend started!

Friday

A newcomer to the Old Port beverage game! Eighteen Twenty Wines brand new tasting room is making its grand entrance to the scene all weekend long! Try their five rhubarb wines Fridays from 4-7 pm, Saturdays & Sundays from 1-7 pm.

The Yellow Sun Wreckers will be bringing their Americana roots vibes to the Thirsty Pig at 7 pm! Come hungry and ready to jam out!

Tickets are still available for the concert of a lifetime! Elton John is playing at the Cross Insurance Arena at 8 pm. This won’t be a show to miss! And if you do, well, we guess that’s why they call it the blues.

If country music is more your style, you can also catch Joe Nichols, playing at Aura at 9! You must be 18 or older to attend, and the doors open at 8!

Roots, Rhythm & Dub are releasing their brand new album “Weather the Storm” tonight at 8 pm at the Portland House of Music & Events with the company and musical talents of Zeme Libre and Jonah Bruce & The Grads!

Saturday

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, The Rosemont Studio Collective will be hosting an Attitude of Gratitude Yoga Workshop at 11:30 am. This is a gratitude and digestion focused class to get ready for the big meal on Thursday!

Speaking of Thanksgiving… LeRoux Kitchen will be holding their annual Thanksgiving Feast! Meet on the second-floor kitchen at 1 pm for the traditional feast, and we’re sure there will be no shortage of wine!

To work off all the calories from your Thanksgiving Feast, join Danza Latina for a salsa dance class! This class will be a mixture of salsa, casino, and Rueda dance styles and the dancing starts at 6 pm!

It’ll be a night of Burlesque at the Port City Music Hall! Join Red Hot & Ladylike in the fight against Domestic Violence while entertaining your naughty side! A guest appearance by Wicked Burlesque will make this show one you won’t want to miss!

Sunday

Get your morning started with a Spark! The Maine Historical Society will be hosting Spark! Maine ART Stories, expressing the varied ways Mainers express themselves in this day and age and it all starts at 10 am.

Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox is a unique mixture of vintage, jazz, and pop, covering modern hits with an old school jazz vibe. They’re performing at the State Theatre at 8 pm and you’re sure to leave feeling like Jay Gatsby.

Your comedic relief before the start of your short work week is here! Another Sunday Night Stand Up! This week will feature Brian Bargainer and begin at 8 pm at Empire Live Music & Events!
