Voted Best Waterfront Dining and Best Bloody Mary in Portland by Portland Old Port

Are you looking to get great lobster rolls and sustainable seafood in Portland, Maine? Luke’s Lobster Portland Pier has got you covered!

Portland Pier is the flagship restaurant of Luke’s Lobsters’ 20+ lobster shacks around the country.

The restaurant sits on historic Portland Pier with 306- degree views of Portland’s working waterfront. It’s directly next to their lobster buying station where they land catch from their partner fishermen who dock on Portland Pier. You can often times catch them unloading crates at the dock or having a post-haul drink at the bar.

The restaurant boasts 110 seats with ample and beautiful outdoor seating for warmer weather. Menu features their classic Maine-style lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls, in addition to broiled and fried seafood specialties,  and of course steamed shore dinner. They also have a full beer, wine, and cocktail menu and two full bars.

They can accommodate private event rentals for weddings, corporate events, or meetings. Additionally, they offer take-out and delivery, walk-ins are welcome, and reservations accepted during the off season.

Oh, and they are dog friendly! So pack your pup and the whole family for a great day on waterfront.

It started raining immediately upon my arrival, so they unfortunately were limited to indoor dining only. However, I was able to snag a seat at the bar upstairs with ease. I ordered the Waterfront Cosmo, fried clam bellies, and the hot honey lobster roll. My only feedback is to add more hot honey to the roll. It was limited to one side of the roll only, but it was still very good.

The perfect summer spot on the waterfront! We each ordered the Lobster BLT and could not believe how delicious it was. Savory lobster, crispy salty bacon, and perfectly toasted bun. So many flavors and textures I’d have this instead of a lobster roll any day!

Fun place on the Harbor with great views! And there was little to no wait on a Friday night which was pleasantly surprising! Their warmed lobster roll was my favorite and my husband enjoyed the hot honey butter roll.

Everything about this experience was just phenomenal, drove here from NJ just for this. Completely worth it! Had the New England clam chowder, lobster bisque, steamed seafood dinner, and the lobster roll flight. Everything was so delectable! Sat at the bar with the amazing service from the very busy bartender. 10/10

This place is all about the food. It's delicious and very reasonably priced by comparison. The view over the harbor from the upstairs seating area is beautiful so you can see where your fresh seafood just came from. The options for people who don't like seafood or for kids were delicious too.Very friendly and efficient service too. Overall a very memorable experience.

Luke's Lobster Portland Pier - Perfect Finale to Our Lobster Roll Tour!Wow! Luke's Lobster Portland Pier was the perfect ending to our epic Lobster Roll Tour. The views from the restaurant were absolutely breathtaking - a true Maine waterfront experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the lobster rolls were, of course, fantastic! We opted for the Lobster Roll Flight, which was a great way to sample all three varieties: lemon butter, spicy honey butter, and truffle butter. Each 2oz roll was delicious, with perfectly cooked lobster and flavorful sauces. It was the perfect way to compare and contrast the different flavor profiles.Overall, Luke's Lobster Portland Pier was a fantastic experience. The food, the view, and the atmosphere all came together to create a memorable finale to our trip. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Portland and looking for an incredible lobster roll!

My husband and I have been to Luke’s several times. We always love it! Today we brought our dog, George for the first time. My husband and I LOVE the lobster rolls and today we had the steamers for the first time. They were sublime. But I think George had the best day of his life. The wait staff brought him a big bowl of ice water, we ordered him a burger from the kids menu (no bun) and the wait staff doted him the whole time. We will definitely be back with George! And a huge shout out to all the wait staff working outside on 5/26/24

I was in Maine on business and had dinner at Luke's with a colleague. Being from south Louisiana I'm pretty opinionated regarding seafood. I was very impressed with the Lobster Roll, tons of lobster and really fresh. We also had the haddock bites for an appetizer which were also tasty. Great location right on the water at the end of a pier!
