Voted Best Waterfront Dining and Best Bloody Mary in Portland by Portland Old Port

Are you looking to get great lobster rolls and sustainable seafood in Portland, Maine? Luke’s Lobster Portland Pier has got you covered!

Portland Pier is the flagship restaurant of Luke’s Lobsters’ 20+ lobster shacks around the country.

The restaurant sits on historic Portland Pier with 306- degree views of Portland’s working waterfront. It’s directly next to their lobster buying station where they land catch from their partner fishermen who dock on Portland Pier. You can often times catch them unloading crates at the dock or having a post-haul drink at the bar.

The restaurant boasts 110 seats with ample and beautiful outdoor seating for warmer weather. Menu features their classic Maine-style lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls, in addition to broiled and fried seafood specialties,  and of course steamed shore dinner. They also have a full beer, wine, and cocktail menu and two full bars.

They can accommodate private event rentals for weddings, corporate events, or meetings. Additionally, they offer take-out and delivery, walk-ins are welcome, and reservations accepted during the off season.

Oh, and they are dog friendly! So pack your pup and the whole family for a great day on waterfront.

I got the lobster bisque soup, clams and the mikes hot honey lobster roll. Everything was superb! The lobster bisque had just the right flavor. The clams were sooo fresh and the lobster roll was very satisfying. It was stuff with so much lobster and the roll was so buttery. The mikes hot honey was is a great addition to the sandwich. It's not that hot. I recommend getting the hot honey with the roll. Rosie was a great server.

Right in the water really great service and food. Highly recommended. We got there right before closing abs they treated as if we had been the first customers of the day. I didn't think I would find a Gluten Friendly Lobster Roll to try while I was in Maine. Not only did I find one but the bread was top notch! I wish I would have asked the brand. Fantastic food and environment. Will definitely visit on my next trip.

Food was excellent! Spicy lobster roll was the best along with the lobster BLT! Definitely stop here. It was busy but you can wait for the upstairs bar and bar tables for quicker service. Great atmosphere right on the water.

WE LOVED LUKES LOBSTER. We waited less than 15min for our table. It was a Thursday night. Food was delicious. We ordered the lobster roll, fried shrimp and fried haddock. Our server did a terrific job and the place/location is beautiful. I highly recommend Luke’s Lobster.

We decided to visit here based upon the reviews. A lot of people say it's the best lobster roll they've ever had. While it was good, and there was certainly a lot of lobster in the roll, it wasn't creamy enough for me. There wasn't very much mayo and the bun needed to be buttered more. But this is just my opinion. If you like your lobster roll plain with just a touch of mayo, but lots of lobster, this is your place.

Great views sitting out on the patio. Lobster roll was delicious! Also had the haddock bites, which were fine but lacked flavor in the breading. I wouldn’t order these again. But I’d come back for the lobster roll and view!Gavin our waiter was outstanding. I will say we got drinks from the bartender upstairs while we waited for our table and she was not entirely welcoming. Two out of the 3 beers we ordered were having tap issues and she really just didn’t care if we ordered something else or not. Didn’t offer up similar suggestions or anything. Just odd for a bartender that only had 2 other people sitting at her bar. But again, once we sat down, Gavin was great and made up for it! Expect to wait for a table.

Friendly service and delicious food! We were looking for a lunch spot after marathon and knew we had to have a lobster roll while in the area. The area was busy with a few cruise ships at port, but we were able to get a few seats at the bar. Keely was very friendly and attentive. The lobsters rolls and chips were fantastic and the drinks were a nice addition. Other than the cruise ship folk just being a little extra (not restaurants problem) it was a great experience

The food is excellent. The staff are amazing. Dog friendly! I travel with my basset hound. Not only did we get a table, our waiter brought out a bowl of water for my dog along with my water.I ordered the spicy lobster roll with fries. Fantastic meal. It’s definitely worth stopping in. Thanks Luke’s!
