Voted Best Waterfront Dining and Best Bloody Mary in Portland by Portland Old Port

Are you looking to get great lobster rolls and sustainable seafood in Portland, Maine? Luke’s Lobster Portland Pier has got you covered!

Portland Pier is the flagship restaurant of Luke’s Lobsters’ 20+ lobster shacks around the country.

The restaurant sits on historic Portland Pier with 306- degree views of Portland’s working waterfront. It’s directly next to their lobster buying station where they land catch from their partner fishermen who dock on Portland Pier. You can often times catch them unloading crates at the dock or having a post-haul drink at the bar.

The restaurant boasts 110 seats with ample and beautiful outdoor seating for warmer weather. Menu features their classic Maine-style lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls, in addition to broiled and fried seafood specialties,  and of course steamed shore dinner. They also have a full beer, wine, and cocktail menu and two full bars.

They can accommodate private event rentals for weddings, corporate events, or meetings. Additionally, they offer take-out and delivery, walk-ins are welcome, and reservations accepted during the off season.

Oh, and they are dog friendly! So pack your pup and the whole family for a great day on waterfront.

A delightful, simple place for fresh seafood. Served without any fancy approaches, but definitely good. I wish they had grilled scallops! The fried ones are definitely delicious, but ordinary. I'd recommend trying the kelp burger, it is super interesting and delicious.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic views! Luke’s is really worth it! I’ve had many lobster rolls in Portland and they’ve all been very good but the atmosphere at Luke’s really sends it to the next level. All the food seems very fresh and I love how they have the board that shows where they get all their ingredients from. Whether you’re coming for a sitdown seafood feast or just grabbing a beer at the bar, you won’t be disappointed!

Server was super friendly and helpful. The lobster roll my wife got was delicious, I had the twin lobsters, they were perfect. The restaurant is like a more upscale dockside lobster place, but super casual. We went off season, so we walked right in at 8:00 p.m.

Dining at Luke's Lobster Portland Pier is an unforgettable experience, marked by exceptional culinary delights that capture the essence of the sea. During my visit, the standout was undoubtedly the market price 1.5-pound lobster with clams—an indulgence that, while on the pricier side, was absolutely worth it for the quality and freshness. For future diners, a quick tip: inquire about anything marked "MP" to avoid surprises when the bill arrives. The lobster bisque and clam chowder were a flavorful journey into the heart of New England cuisine, each spoonful rich with taste and tradition. While the coleslaw's vinegar-heavy dressing wasn't to my liking, it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless meal. The lobster rolls lived up to their reputation, bursting with fresh lobster in every bite, and the fries were a perfect, crispy complement.Luke's Lobster stands out not just for its food but for its pristine, welcoming atmosphere. The establishment feels either new or recently renovated, with cleanliness and comfort at the forefront. For those seeking the best experience, I recommend arriving early. We arrived around 11:30 AM and were promptly seated upstairs, where we were treated to a serene view near the water, enhancing our meal with picturesque scenes. In conclusion, while the price point may be a consideration, the quality of the food, the ambience of the restaurant, and the attentive service make Luke's Lobster Portland Pier a must-visit destination in Portland. It's a place where the essence of Maine's coastal bounty is served with every dish, promising a dining experience that lingers in the memory long after the meal is over.

This place was great! Our kids had so much fun meeting a live lobster and watching the ducks swim outside. The lobster flight was SO GOOD!! This was one of the most peaceful meals we had as a family of vacation cause the kids devoured their fish bites and looked out the window so we could enjoy our lobster and drinks. Definitely will visit again!

Any time I am in Portland, I make sure to stop at Luke's! The lobster roll is so so phenomenal that I refuse to eat lobster rolls at any other restaurant because they cannot compare. While I strongly recommend getting the lobster roll, the lobster bisque and calamari are also great dishes! The drinks are fantastic and the location cannot be beat. Beautiful water views, lots of natural lighting, gosh I just love it here!

Everything was immaculate. Rebecca was our server and she was absolutely amazing. This place is busy so definitely make a reservation. We tried the sampler and the lobster roll flight! Get the cocktail that donates to charity too!
