QUEER MOVEMENT

with Lauren Znachko

1st Wednesday of every month | 7:00pm | FREE

Our queer yoga class is meant to provide safer space for queer and trans folks to gather together and move our bodies. The guidance and facilitation is trauma informed with the intention to decenter cis-het notions of bodies, language, and togetherness. Movement will be gentle and by invitation, modifications and rest will be offered and encouraged, hands on guidance is based on explicit consent, which is never assumed.

Wear whatever feels most comfortable for you. If your movement is limited for whatever reason, we will make accommodations so that you are able to feel at ease and a part of the group. If you have questions, concerns, or would like to make requests ahead of time, please feel free to email us.

Pre-registration is recommended.

REIKI AND MOCKTAILS at Botanically Curious @ Botanically Curious
Aug 17 @ 4:00 pm
REIKI AND MOCKTAILS at Botanically Curious @ Botanically Curious | Portland | Maine | United States
Join us at Botanically Curious August 17th at 4pm as Lydia Libby of Back 2 Your Body Yoga will offer reiki to our group to ease tensions in the physical and subtle body. What is reiki, you may wonder? Reiki is a Japanese healing modality where the practitioner helps you move stuck energy, known as ‘ki’ in the body. To aid in your relaxation, cool peppermint aromatherapy towels will be offered as you rest and receive the reiki. This service is paired with herbal teas to support the release of tension within the mind and body.
