This move aims to encourage more foot traffic in Old Port. Although there were initial concerns from some local businesses, nearly all are now onboard with the vehicle free pilot program. The lone business not in favor is closed on Sundays. Once the program concludes, an impact study will be conducted to evaluate its success and any hurdles that might have emerged.
