Salt Yard is our industrial-chic cafe and bar that celebrates the city’s vibrant working waterfront with a menu that evolves as the day unfolds. Stop by for a hand-crafted latte and house-made pastry on your way to work; linger over breakfast or lunch in our inviting cafe with a selection of breakfast entrees, sandwiches, salads and soup. Order at the counter during the day and enjoy our comfortable atmosphere for as long as you choose.

I got the chorizo + potato skillet and it was soooo yummy. Highly recommend this place. The latte I had was also really good quality! My friends and I shared the chocolate croissant and it was so flaky.
I stopped in here after a bit of walking for breakfast. I had the Belgium waffles and croissant breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious! The bread was so flakey and chewy, while the waffle was sweet, crisp, and soft...right on point.
Great food but not a traditional server type of restaurant. You order your food in the front and they bring it out to you. Honestly, for an eat and go. I prefer it that way.Enjoyed what they had to offer during brunch.Bacon, egg and cheese on the crossant was delicious. The garlic dijon aioli add a nice dimension. Bacon was cooked perfectly with a crispy not to the point on being burnt. Potato fries was crispy but soft on the inside. Perfect combo!Chorizo and potato skillet was also a great combo. Mix of delicious flavor all in one bowel that brings your mouth happiness.
Went to salt yard for the first time the other day for lunch. It was really good. Definitely pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for.Definitely an upscale feeling walking into the building.If you’re pinching pennies, this may not be the place for you, but if it’s not going to phase your wallet, definitely worth trying once., there’s a rooftop bar upstairs so that’s cool.
I absolutely love this place because you can get a coffee and sit there with a book and no one will hustle you to order more or try to boot you out. This is an increasingly rare quality in America, and I’m here for it. Also the cold brew is very good, surprisingly good.
Perfect option for breakfast and dinner when staying at or anywhere near Canopy. Everything we have ordered has been delicious.

We had a lovely stay at the Canopy. Per recommendations we had brunch at the Salt Yard. Our food was delicious and customer service was outstanding. Ellie made our delicious lattes and was super friendly. Will definitely come here again. Overall experience was great.
While at salt yard, I decided to try the chorizo hash. I was not disappointed with my choice.The dish was presented beautifully and extremely flavorful.Ellie was the one who waited on me, She was super helpful and had an amazing recommendation for a drink. The honey lavender iced coffee is truly amazing.I will definitely be returning.
All I can say is Amazing! The best drinks and great food! If you at the bar ALWAYS ask for Katreen or Indy they are the absolute BEST. They both are extremely knowledgeable about creating your perfect cocktail and even fun to talk to.
The decoration is modern, clean and spacious.The bathrooms are that of 4-5 stars hotel quality.Fast and tentative service.The Chai waffle is a bit over powering but the salmon toast is amazing, some of the best cured salmon i have ever had anywhere.
Located inside the Hilton Canopy, very chic. They offer seasonal flavors for lattes.
Absolutely adore this place 🩷 I work down the street (at the best little retail store in Portland if you ask me :-) and I send people here ALL THE TIME!! Not only is it a great spot, but it's awesome to be able to bring well behaved dogs with the option of sitting on cozy couches at the other end of the room. I also love and very regularly refer people to the Canopy because it's a wonderful addition to our Portland community with the MOST comfy beds, cool bathrooms, and just overall great rooms. So happy to have you as a neighbor!
Very modern and energetic atmosphere, great place to stop and grab your coffee or a quick snack. The ladies making the bar were divine and so genuine in their approach to get you what you needed. Definitely give this place a try
This place is yum! I come here for a cappuccino multiple times a week and the standard breakfast plate (eggs, bacon, toast, etc.) is perfect. They’re really friendly about substituting items as well (like avocados instead of their potatoes). They play music and have open seating (with large tables to share or individual ones) which gives it a nice atmosphere in my opinion. It’s a cute spot!
Tucked into the Canopy hotel, Salt Yard has a pretty wide selection of brunch items. Seating can be tricky when its busy. Very much on the pricier side! Overall the food was good.
