- Argenta Brewing Co. will be opening at 82 Hanover Street this Friday, February 23rd. Argenta Brewing Co. proudly stakes its claim as Maine’s sole “lager beer saloon”, reflective of the mid-1800s when waves of German immigrants flooded American cities, bringing with them a rich beer culture centered around gemütlichkeit – a sense of warmth and conviviality. This cultural exchange birthed the lager beer saloon, a haven of camaraderie and community.
Ironclad Eats will be joining the grand opening celebrations Saturday, February 24th from 12pm – 6pm; Great Wave Sushi Sunday, February 25th from 12pm – 7pm. Here’s a sneak peek.
- Helm Oyster Bar & Bistro has announced their closure. They will close on Friday, March 8th. Helm Oyster Bar opened February 11th, 2021.
In a statement made via social media, “Our journey may be complete, but the spirit and memories of the last three years are forever and ever. As you can imagine, I have a million words I could say, and maybe I will someday. But for right now, I just want to say THANK YOU!

- As announced earlier, Urban Farm Fermentory has closed their space in Portland’s East Bayside. UFF was founded in 2010 by Eli Cayer.
UFF will be throwing one last party, LIGHTS OUT, on Friday, February 23rd and Saturday, February 24th 8pm – 1am. Night 1 will focus on the sounds of house, techno, breaks and electro with mixed afters and Night 2 will focus on all things bass. Tickets.
- Highroller Lobster Co. reopened Friday from their 6- week winter break. The break was spent recuperating and updating the Exchange Street space.
- The Ugly Duckling celebrated their 1st anniversary. The Ugly Duckling opened Tuesday, February 14th 2023 at 246 Danforth Street.

- Sur Lie will be taking over the bar at Three of Strong Spirits on Sunday, March 3rd for Cocktail Remix. The team will be remixing classic cocktails. Ironclad Eats will be there with the food, music from 7pm – 10pm from DJ B. Aull.
