A year into the pandemic & St. Patrick’s Day 2021 will be still looking a little different, but in typical Portland style, that doesn’t mean that the spirit of Paddy’s Day can’t be found throughout the city! Here is our list of St. Patrick Day deals, takeout options, COVID safe events & more happening in Portland come March 17th.

Binga’s Stadium: Open for dine-in & offering exclusive food & drink specials including $4 Shamrock Stoli drinks, mudslides on the rocks, & Jameson specials.
Bunker Brewing Co: Open from Noon to 8pm & pouring $4 pints of Nitro Stout! Portland’s newest food truck, Vy Banh Mi, will also be present throughout the day. For options to go, Bunker is making sure you are all fully supplied & stocked by offering cases (24 x 16oz cans) of their Nitro Oatmeal Stout for the low low price of $50 (plus tax) now until the 17th.
Congress Squared: Offering a Traditional Irish Feast to Bake at Home for $30! Family-sized dinner for 4 includes Corned Beef & Cabbage with slow-cooked local beef, savoy cabbage, steamed Maine potatoes, & Darina’s soda bread. Ordering deadline is March 15 for pick-up on March 17.
Darby Jones: Irish Meats & Bread (Irish rashers, sausages, white pudding & McCambridge Whole-wheat soda bread) for a proper Irish fry will be available starting either Tuesday or Wednesday. Shop also includes a solid selection of chocolates & other goodies from Ireland, Scotland & the UK too.
Dock Fore: Open from 11am-11pm with Cornbeef Sandwiches, all the usual 17th drink special festivities, & gourmet Green Apple Pie Jell-O shots.
Gritty McDuff’s: Open at 11am with a special Saint Patrick’s Day menu featuring Scotch Egg, Lamb Stew, Shepherd’s Pie, Boiled Dinner & more! To help us all celebrate safely & efficiently, Gritty McDuff’s will be offering takeout for the special menu, as well as, $2 off growlers if you purchase them with a takeout order. Kitchen will close at 10pm that evening but the bar will still be open until business slows down.
Miss Portland Diner: Offering dine-in, takeout & curbside pick-up from 8am to 3pm. Menu includes Corned Beef Hash, Irish Benedict, Irish Omelet or Scramble, Corned Beef & Cabbage & more!
Novare Res Bier Cafe: Open for dine-in from 4pm-9pm, serving up pints, bangers & Lucky Charms Hot Cocoa with Jameson Whiskey & Bailey’s. Specialty beers available include Liquid Riot Goodbye Stout, Banded Brewing Co. Mo Chara Red, & Brasserie Fantome Magic Ghost Green Tea Saison.
Portland Food Co-op: Stop on in & pick up some organic grass-fed local corned beef from Misty Brook Farm &/or all-natural local corned beef from Maine Family Farms to prepare this St. Patrick’s Day favorite at home.
Rigby Yard: Open 12pm-6pm with specials such as $5 Guinness Drafts & $7 Jameson all day. Their full appetizer, & food & dessert menu will be available all day as well.
Rira Portland: Opening early at 8am & will be serving their full All Day Menu until closing at 11pm along with special food features from March 15-22. Reservations are strongly encouraged (& can be made online) but they will be also offering a waitlist for walk-ins.
Rivalries: Opening at 11:30am on Wednesday for dine-in, takeout & delivery with UberEats & GrubHub. Irish Boi Martini on special (Jameson, Bailey’s, Green Chartreuse).
Shay’s Grill Pub: Doors open at 11am & last seating is at 8:15pm. Drink specials include Guinness on tap for $6, & Jameson for $6. Food specials include a Reuben Sandwich, Corned Beef & Cabbage with Mashed Potatoes. Reservations accepted & food is available for pickup. Call 207-772-2626 for both.
The Wave: Offering a night of cookie icing & decoration (Saint Patrick’s Day themed, of course) from 5:30pm-7pm. $25 donation includes delicious food, a glass of really good wine, or a box of famous Sweet Sea Company Cookies. Book your spot here.
The Yard: Opening at 9am with a limited breakfast menu to help “absorb those Jameson breakfast shots”, as well as, a lunch menu featuring Homemade Guinness stew & homemade corned beef sandwiches & specialty holiday-themed cocktails. Live music all day will start at 11am with Ross Adams on the bagpipes from 3pm-8pm, Irish dancers at 2pm, & Matty McFly playing from 9pm-1am. Their patio will be rearranged to create more seating along with reservable igloos & an extended patio into the parking lot for even more space (weather permitting).
Three Dollar Dewey’s: Portland’s Original Alehouse will have plenty of Guinness on draft & will be opening their doors at 6am for $6 breakfast as well as a special Boiled Dinner available all day for just $13. Breakfast will run until 10am.
Tomaso’s Canteen: Offering a number of craft beers (Austin Street Milk Stout, Bunker Brewing Oatmeal Milk Stout, & more) with Irish Whiskey for $9. Food & Guinness specials all day, as well.
Top of the East: Offering food & beverage specials for dine-in on March 17th of Finnegans Wake: Jameson, Green Chartreuse, Maraschino Liqueur, Lime, Absinthe Rinse for $15, & Corned Beef & Cabbage: slow-cooked local beef, savoy cabbage, steamed Maine potatoes, & Darina’s soda bread for $18.
Two Fat Cats Bakery: Saint Patrick Day themed treats available for pre-order online, in person, or over the phone until Monday, March 15th. Menu includes Bailey’s Irish Cream Cheesecake, Irish Soda Bread, Mint Chocolate Whoopie Pies, & Banoffee Pie – bananas, homemade caramel & whipped cream! Pickup on Wednesday 3/17 with other treats in-stores Tuesday 3/16 & Wednesday 3/17.
